Not Me Monday!

It's Not Me Monday over at MckMama.  Not Me Monday was born out of MckMama's desire to admit some of her imperfections and reveal a few moments she'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!

I did not ignore my list of chores to do over Spring Break and wait until the last day (today) to jam as many things as I can into the day!

I did not only make it to the gym 3 out of the 5 days I was off.  Nope, I went everyday and did not waste any time doing absolutely nothing over break.

I did not ignore the fact that I have report card comments to do and 2 days worth of sub plans to do when I'm out later this week for my sister's wedding.  Nope, I definitely did them and they are ready to go! 

I did not go to the Cherry Blossom Festival and take 139 pictures in an hour and a half and then only delete 50 of them.  Nope, I have a great eye for good pictures and can always delete pictures without a problem. 

I did not ignore the fact that I still have not backed up my pictures even though it's been on my list for over a month.  Yikes!

I did not research ways to control my dog's barking while outside this weekend.  She does not bark obnoxiously when our neighbors are going in and out of their house. 

 I did not have Chick-fil-a for lunch on Saturday because Blake and I were at the mall and we LOVE their chicken nuggets.  Nope, we're too health conscious for that!  And, I did not skip the gym on Saturday and spend the majority of my afternoon catching up on my DVR and being lazy after eating fast food!

I did not sleep until 10:45 on Sunday morning.  My body thought it was 9:45 but still- almost our whole morning was gone!  This of course made it impossible for me to fall alseep on Sunday night!

I did not read Kelly's PSA about backing up pictures, think about how we needed to do that and then turn off my computer and read instead.  Nope, whenever I hear reminders like that, I always get right on top of it!

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me Monday!  This is a blog carnival MckMama created to admit some imperfections and share what you have not been doing this week.



 

During the height of the snowstorm, I did not become overwhelmed with the thought of shoveling our driveway (20 inches at this point) and suggest that we take Sophie, our puppy, on a walk instead.  Nope, not me!

In an effort to heat our cold, powerless house, we did not attempt to start a fire with a chimney that would not open.  Thus, filling the house with smoke making all of the smoke alarms go off and making us open all the windows and doors to help air out the house.  Nope, not us, we would always open the damper and flue throughout a snow storm to make sure the snow doesn't get too heavy and not open (see below).

Upon hearing the forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday (5-10 more inches of snow), I did not get excited and hope that we would have off from school the rest of the week.  Nope, not me, I am too dedicated of a teacher to be excited for the possiblity of a week off from school!

When we lost power the second time, I did not become panicked and realize that all of the food I bought earlier in the week had to be cooked or baked. So, we ate potato chips and dip (as we did not want to waste it in case it went bad). Nope, not me, I would be prepared for all scenarios and have enough healthy food to last us a few days!

Not me! Monday

This is my first Not me! Monday post.  I've loved reading other people's posts and reading their honesty!

This weekend when Blake and I went out to dinner we did not forget our gift certificate at home and decide to be frugal and get Subway for dinner and go back home! 

While cleaning off Sophie's dirty paws in the bathtub I did not decide that cleaning the guest bathroom would be too much to do on my 3 day weekend and shut the door instead, nope, not me!

We did not ask Kate and Kurt if we could have a playdate with their dog Macey because our Sophie was a maniac on Saturday and had more energy than we could handle, nope, not us!

I did not sleep in on Sunday until 10:30 and then stay in bed until 11:30 reading and talking with Blake while enjoying an exhausted puppy (see above), nope, not me!

I have not refused to do any and all school work this weekend; wanting to instead live in a fantasy world that center examples are complete as are report cards, nope, not me!

I have not taken 2 days off from working out in a row, especially after being on such a good roll and losing some weight, that would just be depressing!
