Every morning I watch the news to specifically listen for traffic and weather. And, when I hear that the high temperature is below 32 degrees, I fall into a mini-depression. Our school/school district has a policy that if it is or feels below freezing, we have to have indoor recess. We have had indoor recess since we've been back from Christmas break and it's really killing me and the students. 5 year olds with built up energy for two plus weeks translates into a nightmare in the classroom.
Come on outdoor recess!
